Shams Community (a social enterprise in Amman) is organizing a hiking trip to Wadi Himara next Friday, June 13th, and we want to invite anyone who's interested to join! Wadi Himara is a gorge by the Dead Sea, and we’ll be hiking to two waterfalls. It’ll be a nice way to meet new people and enjoy some of the nature Jordan has to offer.

Advice: when you go to Dead Sea, make sure that the salty water not to enter your eyes as you will lose the vision. We advice you to bring a big bottle of non-salty water and keep it close to you and it's better to be with a friend to help you in cas... read more
Advice: when you go to Dead Sea, make sure that the salty water not to enter your eyes as you will lose the vision. We advice you to bring a big bottle of non-salty water and keep it close to you and it's better to be with a friend to help you in case you lost your vision as you will not be able to locate the bottle!
It's better to swim after 4:00 pm as the weather is so hot and the sun is very sharp! Drink too much water and juices.
Don't miss the Dead Sea soil, you can get it yourself easily, just sense with your feet when you walk in the water a viscous material, usually it's found under the stones of salt, it's far just 1 to 2 meters when you start walking int he water. Bring more than one strong bag with you to fill the soil if you want to use it at home, it's very heavy.
There's are shower places outside for men and inside for women, the water pressure is just great!
The Entrance to the public beach is 12 JOD for the non-Jordanians.
The prices for 250-300ml bottle of water and juice in the public beach is 0.5 JOD, not bad!

If you want to have a full Amman experience, don’t look at google lol just wake the road down get lost and find the way back home.
Home where is the heart is, I gorw up in this city and I’ve traveled a lot, I always wanted to come back no matter how I’m happy to be traveling, i call that home.
